INTERIOR

9/08 (Total cost $3,100):  This project was major.  It included a new CD/stereo with 4 new speakers, a dash overlay, new original carpet replacement ($80/yrd), custom pedals, new shifter knob, new back seat, recovered door panels and Recaro seats all in German vinyl.  Seats were purchased from Aardvarc Racing (www.2002parts.com), talk to Dave Varco.

The pictures above show the before and after transformation.  The door panels in the original interior (on left - not shown) had cloth inserts and were showing signs of wear.  The carpet and seats were replaced in 1997 but the carpet we used was a domestic carpet and not of the best quality.  The seats have held up very well but we decided to take it to another level.  We were very pleased with the results as you can see on the photo above on the right.

The dash had cracks from age and sun.  The dash cover overlay purchased from BMP Design did a great job.  The overlay was $87.95 and was not hard to install.  Looks like a new dash and fit like a glove.  The pedals added a sporty look.  Check out the links for more info on the dash kit and the pedals (Dash and Pedals).
